Guitar recording software

I recently bought a new bass multi effects pedal that allows a DI through usb,

but I don' have any recording software other than Audacity which works somewhat well,

but I'm looking more for software like proTools or GarageBand.

 

Can anyone recommend some software that is similar to these that will run on W7 and is preferably free or very cheap,  as I'm only looking to mess around with recordings at the moment

Are you saying Audacity does not work for you?

It works fine, I was just looking more for a guitar specific recording software with specific pre amp and effects emulation

 

Just get plugins to do what you need.

 

Otherwise, you can get Eleven Rack, but it's not cheap.
