So guys my question is when it comes to gaming and performing to your best abilities, what makes the most difference the mouse or the keyboard?

Also is a m45 optical mouse a better bet than a similiarly priced laser?

Any thoughts on the second question guys? Is optical better than laser for gaming?

A good mouse that feels good in the hands and has a descent enough sensor (extra buttons are a personal choice) is a gaming essential in my eyes. Any old keyboard will get the job done. Nice keyboards are more of a luxury or convenience item.

And optical mice don't tend to have acceleration issues that can sometimes come with a laser mouse. I always go optical.

For the time being, last sensors have inherent problems such as acceleration, etc. so optical is the sensor type of choice. The M45 will do you fine.

For gaming definitely mouse, but otherwise I would say keyboard since I do a lot of typing.
