What's the difference between the Z97 & the H97 chipsets?

BTW, I just bought a system with the H97 in it & I can't tell what's different about it!

Here's the board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130787&cm_re=msi_h97_gaming_3-_-13-130-787-_-Product

H97 generally doesn't have nvidia multi-GPU support and it doesn't support overclocking (officially).

There's more than that. The Z97 has more features than the H97.

If you want to know what, look here: http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Z97-vs-H97-What-is-the-Difference-562/

edit: lol exept overclocking and better pci-e lane splitting they are exacly the same. Well the H97 has a business feature that the Z97 doesn't have but oh well :D

Z97 supports SLI and CPU overclocking. That's about it, aside from various features that some boards have.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

Meh, they only said that it doesnt support multiple GPU's nor CPU overclocking. Their summary is trying to sell Z97 so I didn't care to read much of it.

H97 doesn't really support CrossFire/SLI.

H97 generally doesn't have multi-GPU support and it doesn't support overclocking (officially).

I think the only difference is that H97 doesn't allow you to overclock (officially) and no sli/crossfire.

H97 supports Crossfire. Even H81 and B85 do.

Well, some boards. But try to find one that supports SLI.

Well yes H97 does not support SLI, but Crossfire compatibility is a limitation of the board, not the chipset. It's the choice of the mobo manufacturer if they wish to implement Crossfire capability on a certain board. I was just pointing out that the chipset itself does support CF.,
