Listening to my Xbox 360 while recording using Avermedia LGP

Hello guys,

I recently made a setup for recording my Xbox 360 with my Avermedia LGP capture card (linus did a review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL3MUZFeRFo ) ,

and my problem is that I can't listen to my game audio, since I'm playing on a PC monitor, using an HDMI to DVI adapter.

My goal here is to not waste any time or money ordering some xbox 360 dongle that I might not use that often, so I can use my headphones while recording gameplay.

SETUP :

1. Xbox 360 plugged into the LGP, and using the HDMI passthrough to my monitor, using the HDMI to DVI adapter I have.

2. Recording PC connected by VGA to the same monitor (I know it's crappy but deal with it).

3. Using Avermedia's software for recording

Parts and dongles I have that may be useful:

Xbox 360 AV to VGA and composite audio (red and white)

Composite audio (red and white) to 3.5 mm in

Another  HDMI to DVI adapter

Display port to HDMI

HDMI splitter

HyperX Cloud II Pro Headset (both 3.5 and USB sound card are working with that)

multiple HDMI cables (3, but I can grab another one if needed)

The Avermedia LGP does have a 3.5 mm audio passthrough (can be used for mic or game audio, but the mic is not an issue).

If you need more info just ask.

I'm grateful for any help you may provide.

If I'm understanding right, it looks like you don't have an audio input to your computer.... just video-in with VGA.

Edit// I have a feeling I'm not correctly understanding, though.

Doesnt the LGP have an 3.5mm input and output on the side of the device? Try using those.

I have tried doing that, but I don't hear anything.

I did make sure that the audio device selected in ReCentral was HDMI.

Should I do something else?

I don't think I understand what you mean either, but I will say that I have 970, so I have all the standard outputs, but I use a DVI to VGA adapter from my card to my screen.
