Alienware are fine, these two just have your average PC hatred for Alienware even though there's little merit (at least when it comes to laptops.) Their laptops are competitively price and they offer good customer service (at least here, not sure about Lithuania). I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. As for finding a coupon, I am not sure of where to find one. Good luck though.

Well then, that kind of sucks.

Don't buy alienware pcs, they suck for the price and some even just suck period.

They're not all bad for the money. The desktops can have a case made for them of why they suck, but not the laptops. Like I said before, they're priced fairly competitively and they're still made out of good quality components. As well, they have good customer service.

I'm not a fan of Alienware's PCs as a whole, but quite obviously a lot of people are strict haters without looking into it a bit.

Every single laptop I've seen from them was bad for the price. I don't just go and check them all the time of course, so maybe I missed a couple.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I checked a few minutes ago. The 17 (not the model in question, but I was comparing it to the G751) is fine for the price. None of the levels of machine include SSDs as standard, but oddly enough the price reflects this.

Call Dell Small Business (say you are freelancer or wtv) and order your Alienware from there.

1-> You'll get Dells better warranty service just for this, 'cause Dell has 2 service, one for businesses and the other for consumers.

2-> You can ask for special request, like OS and driver disk (although not sure if they do it for Alienware, doesn't hurt asking)

3-> and most important part: Negotiate the price of the system. Expect large discount and free upgrades :)

If its a laptop, I suggest to get 3 year warranty with Dell's next business day on site service. Why? 3 Year warranty is a must on a mobile device I find. Something always bound to break.

One-Site service doesn't cost that much more, and it ensures that you always have the laptop with you. Basically, from the next business day from your call for service, at the time you want, a technicality will come at your place, with parts needed, and repair your system in front of you. You can make sure the job is done right, and that your problem is fixed before the tech leaves. And well, you have the system in hand all the time. You don't need to ship it to Dell, wait 1-2 weeks, get it back, and cross your finger that they understood the problem over the phone right, else you'll need to repeat the story again.

[edit] Sorry I miss read. I read you were in the U.S, not U.K. Dell doesn't do much for U.K. You can try small business, maybe you can push that to 12% and maybe a few small upgrades free, but Dell U.K is not flexible. You might find your system in retail stores in the U.K for cheaper, at least you can with their monitors (odd I know)[/edit]

You'll get the Alienware warranty customer service, which is the same as business level Dell, except more staff oriented towards gaming, regardless if where you buy your Alienware from.

1800Alienware is the best number to call for Alienware products, you shouldn't call dell about an Alienware, alienware will be able to get you more customized build parts and deals.

Source: I've bought 4 Alienware systems.

Give AW Sales Department a call. When I bought my M18xR2, I went through couple representatives and found someone that was willing to give me 20% discount on the configuration I wanted.

Not all representatives will work with you so give some calls and you'll find someone willing to give you some discount.

CASE - CM Storm Stryker, PSU - EVGA 1000 P2 80+ Plat, CPU - i7 4790K w/ NZXT Kraken X61, GPU - MSI GTX 1080 TI Seahawk X, MB - ASUS Z97 Maximus Hero VII, RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaw X Series (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600, SSD - SAMSUNG 1 TB, DISPLAY - ACER XB270HU + SAMSUNG S24C570HL
