budget? You'd want 2x 980s to play high settings

budget is 3k dollars and what PSU would you suggest

The PSU is totally fine, but a 800W would be plenty aswell, but it really doesn't matter that much

A 980 is a very bad choice for this build. For the price it just sucks. Get an R9 295x2, it will actually max out games (the 980 will not) and doesn't cost more. You also absolutely don't need x99; go for an i5 4690k and an asus z97-a. The PSU is overkill, get an EVGA supernova g2 850 watts.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

What card is it? I have an R9 290 and it doesn't crash any more than my older nvidia card did. Either way if you really don't want AMD get 2 970s. Just avoid the 980.

Times have changed, give it another spin. You can usually still return a card in the first couple of weeks.

I'm telling you it works. And recently it was nvidia who wasn't exactly honest on what came in some of their graphics cards...

If you prefer Nvidia then go with that. I am not trying to put you off. I am just saying that i personally have had zero issues with AMD cards.

Again, getting a 980 would be wasting your money.

You seriously just get a 295x2. Way cheaper, and it'll perform better at 4k.

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

If you don't want AMD then stick with the GTX 980.
