980 poseidon?

Does anybody know when or if new stock will come in for the 980 poseidon?

You want to watercool down the road and you like that card, you waited a whole year can't you wait few more days or even weeks ??

My build consists of i7 4790k, 4x4 crucial ballistix tactical tracer ram, corsair ax860i, corsair h100i, samsung 250 gb 840 evo, 1 tb wd black and a asus maximus vii formula mb all in a thermaltake lvl 10 gt. It has taken over a year to build what I have, buying part by part, all I need now is a gpu. What factored into my choice of gpu is that i want to eventually go with dual sli. I was content with picking the 980 strix until the release of the poseidon, because of the mb i have, the poseidon would be perfect for watercooling down the road. Now my delimma is that I finally have the money to finish this build, but everywhere is out of stock of the poseidon(no clue to when they will get more) except for newegg, which is extremely over priced. So should I wait for the poseidon to come back or just go ahead and purchase the strix so i can finally finish my dream build and game?

Just wait for the Poseidon I guess. If you had the patience for a year, another month or so won't hurt.

if you intend to watercool the card get a nreference they are easier to find a waterblock for and i woudnt go with the people who say get a r9290 as crossfire in the future will not be as good as SLI with 2 980's

Thanks for the comments, just trying to get some different opinions. cesrai I know, but waiting is the hardest part, it wouldn't be that bad if i knew how long it will take to refill the inventory. LiamApex id rather stay away from reference, I like the poseidon because I can do air now and H2O later.

Most of the time, waiting for the card you want is better than buying a different one.
