Windows boot time. and corrupt drive logos

ProjectX01

so i recently removed a broken hard drive from my pc. it was an old HDD from another pc that just so happens to have broken down, my boot up time before was less than a minute. (40 seconds or so to be precise). now it takes 2-3 minutes.

my other problem is the hard drive icons are plain white http://imgur.com/5EUwEgA

Make sure you plug it into the SATA 3, 6Gbps port. You might have plugged it into SATA 1 or 2 but I doubt that would make the boot times 3 minutes anyway. Could be another faulty hard drive you purchased/acquired. In your bios, is the sata port configures as AHCI or IDE?

Btw. The image you attatched is deleted.
