Windows un-activated after upgrade?

you can change everything but mobo (one by one, maybe 2 at a time) and not have to reactivate. but change the mobo and your in for a reactivation! But its free. you call the number displayed and enter the 25 digit number on your screen, then you listen to the 25 digit number they give you, and your reactivated.

BTW, the 25 digit number is not going to be your windows key. also if you have already re-installed windows once before with this key then this might not work

That is your problem.

Just activate the OS back. Depending on a few factors such as license or when was the last time you installed Windows, a phone activation will be required.

Actually one key managed to work for more than one PC in my house. It might be because I got the Pro version.

No it is not. Your key could be flag (happens), and that means will be permanently voided.

No matter what you do, you MS won't activate it. You will need to go out and buy a new license.

If that didn't happen yet, you are ten nothing more than very lucky.

24/7 for most regions in the world. Usually fully automated to a machine. The system will ask you to say the numbers, but you can punch it in on your phone.

Phone number is toll free for most region in the world.

All that information will be given when you do the phone activation.

It hasn't happened. All of our computers with 8.1 still work and they use the same key.
