128 GB SSD

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

Alright cool. What do you think about the Samsung 850 EVO by the way? And on a side note, what makes one SSD better than the other?? Is it purely about read and write speeds??

I'm still not trusting TLC NAND much... They're around the same price and I'd take the SP900 over the 850 EVO since it performs noticeably better then my 840 EVO and I'd therefore assume it'd perform around the same as the 850 EVO while being more reliable.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a 128 GB SSD that's under 65 bucks. I have amazon prime and there are a bunch on there that are under that, I'm just really not sure what to get. They have an Adata Premier Pro, a Kingston Digital HyperX,  a crucial MX100 and a couple more. I'm really just going to be putting my OS on there and a couple of programs that I use often. I'm just not sure what makes a particular SSD better than the other. They all seem to have the same read speeds and what not so I just don't know. I was recommended by someone the Adata one, but I would like to say what you guys say. Thanks a lot for your advice, I really appreciate it!

Depends on the drive, but ADATA is a solid brand, however crucial and kingston do a bit of shady stuff with their SSDs.

ADATA SP900. Couldn't be happier with mine.

The 850 EVO is supposedly a bit more expensive than it's "supposed" (acording to AnandTech) to be, you'll probably get more bang for the buck with the 840 EVO instead.

Alright then I think I'll go with the Adata. Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it!
