TIP: 
Do not turn on the Xbox 360 with out a cd drive or the console will assume the power is being used for jtagging or flashing so it will console ban itself.

I have turned on many xbox with out dvd drives and they are not banned lol  but thanks :D

Maybe it's a certain model but it is possible.

Edit: You can get marked as a modded console and if microsoft suspects you are modding and you go online, you will get banned.

I, personally, would make a super super cheap itx htpc in the top since you already have all the gaming power a foot below...
