good time to stack up on amazon cards? xD

idunno

they should just support paypal

Ebay owns PayPal

there's no way in hell that they will ever support their competition.

i mean not supporting it is driving customers away

The only people it turns away are those that dont have their own debit/credit cards. eg: children and people that dont spend much online.

Also paypals fees are stupidly high.

you could transfer the funds to your bank/card. Or buy a amazon giftcard from a site that sells them and accepts paypal

that's exactly why they don't support it. it's more or less direct competition

You're out of luck unless you buy a prepaid or gift cards. However, being in the US comes with some perks. By doing Bing Rewards you can get $5 Amazon gift cards every month. With their mobile searches too that comes to $60 + $40 a year for free off of Microsoft's advertising revenue. That's per user, up to 4 per household. So you can get friends and family to slave for you on top of that to speed up the process.

Not quite an immediate solution but in 4 months on your own (or less with friends/family) you'll have what you want for free. It's worth it depending on how soon you need said item.

Does the US not have rechargeable pre-paid credit cards?

My bank offers them, they have no monthly fee, doesn't affect the credit rating, can be obtained even if unemployed or have a bad credit rating, no question asked. It's your money that you put on it after all. (there is a flat yearly fee of like $6 though)

(but shop around, from a quick google search, some of them are a total rippoff... )

Thankfully, it was the same price on NewEgg, and NewEgg isn't a dick about PayPal.
