Gtx 980 bottleneck?

Hey guys I finally installed my new gtx 980 in my rig but something doesn't seem right.I think that the psu is bottlenecking it or there is something wrong with the drivers because I played some league of legends just to see the fps difference between the gtx 980 and my old gtx 760 and it performed the same.

What do you guys think it could cause that?

and did you hit the frame rate cap vsync gives?

lemme guess. you saw 60fps on both?

Actually 130-144fps (Im using a fps cap) its not that I am not satisfied with it I just though I will get more with the 980 

when I remove the cap it wont go higher than 200 ..just like the 760

I'd say you've got a frame cap then, probably Vsync.

Guys I am not using Vsync and I dont think that it is a CPU bottleneck since I have an i5 4670k

See if it does it in other games, if it doesn't then the game has a frame cap.

okay,Should I try running a benchmark like Valley to check if everything is ok or ?

yeah do that and run OSD of Afterburner at the same time to see temps and clock speeds.

It is NOT the PSU or the CPU.

The game also does not have a frameratecap.

You say you have v-sync turned off.... Do you also have the fps slider set to Uncapped?

lol,if a game doesnt go beyond 200 in 2 scenarios (which is such a round number) its obviously a software depended hardcoded thing

One in a million chance but you might have a bitcoin miner-Malware virus thingy at work in the background? Is the CPU at 100% for no reason?

it wouldnt hurt to get a rock solid psu later ANYWAY , seeing how you can easily spend cuple hundred dollars for 980

 

just to be safe

Its probably because League of Legends is already maxed out on your GTX 760

It's LoL. The performance of that game doesn't scale once you get to really high framerates above 60. Check if ur using V-Sync or capping your framerate.

So these are the results,and the temps did not go above 70.What do you think?
