Alright what I'm trying to do is build a gaming pc under 1,200 $.

But i have a few requirements that have to be made for certain reasons:

-16gb of ram (2 sticks please)

- at least a quad core

- motherboard must be sli ready

- 2 graphics cards with at least (2048MB GDDR5 7010MHz Memory)

- at least 1 tb hard drive

- have to be able to run dual monitors

- no extras needed just the tower

- case color cannot be white(just a preference)

and if possible send me links so i can buy on amazon to give linus's group a kick back.

just a preference but a modular power supply would be nice along with an ssd and possible a nice water cooler:) (these aren't needed but would be nice to have)

sorry for sounding so demanding, also must be able to be shipped to California.

thank you. X)

Pretty much did all the work for you, but I'd suggest a better CPU Cooler, H100 series or a CoolerMaster if you can spare an extra $30

It's always suggested to get a single GPU over SLI/X-Fire. I would suggest a single 290x or GTX 970 at your price point, which ever is the cheapest.

Example: Two GTX 960's perform about the same as a single R9 290x or a single GTX 970. Yet the 960's cost more than the single card solutions.

I know you asked not for people to hate, but why the 960s?

I know that I haven't made a build that's 100% to your liking. But it's pretty much what I would have gotten at this point in time. And it's easy enough to change out some parts to lower the price even further.

just for the fuck of it sort of. but ive done a little research and sometimes sli performs higher then just a single gpu.

But you dont usually SLI two low end cards. Get a GTX 970 instead... With a single card you wont have SLI compatibility issues and youll have lower power consumption.
