EVGA TORQ X5

Go to solution Solved by TheProfosist,

the x5 because of its palm dropoff

Do you mean thats its flatter? I would say that neither the X10 carbon or the X3L BestBuy are great palm mice due to button placement. But I can say that the X10 Carbon is much to big to fit the use case it was sold under unless you have massive hands.

It's a unique looking mouse but for almost $100, I think you can get something better if you u need macro/more functions.

I'm looking at those as one of my potential FPS mice. I'd really like to use one before I buy, though. May have to hit the Microcenter whenever I go to Guitar Center in a few weeks.

Yeah i would like to try one too, the ambidextrous structure might prove to be less ergonomic and I'm not too sure about the lack of palm support. :/

In the US its only 50.

In that case, for 50$, weight adjustment and a unique look is totally worth $50

I think you're talking about the X10: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SV735GU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

The X5: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SV735GU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I prefer optical sensor b/c laser has acceleration and prediction.

Was planning to get one of these. Any thoughts? Any one own one right now xD?

It's fairly new. HardwareCanucks has a review on it. Definitely get the optical version, it uses the amazing Avago ADNS-3310   Pixart 3988 sensor so it should be pretty perfect in the tracking department.

It looks like a well built mouse, I'm a bit worried about the coating and how it will cope when the hands start sweating..

For a bit more ($60), the Zowie FK1, FK2, EC-1A and EC-2A are also worth a look.

Im pretty sure it uses the Pixart 3988 however, either way, reputable sensors.

The Torq X5 is a good one. I personally have the X10 Carbon and the X3L BestBuy Edition. I might pick up a X5 at some point.

Do you mean thats its flatter? I would say that neither the X10 carbon or the X3L BestBuy are great palm mice due to button placement. But I can say that the X10 Carbon is much to big to fit the use case it was sold under unless you have massive hands.
