Need help on cables

JackBlack

This is my current build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/7jLYqs

I'm wanting to switch the default cables of all the components to Black&Red individually sleeved cables but I have no clue which ones will work for my components... can someone help me out? I'm no expert in cables.

This is what they look like: http://i.imgur.com/oUjHA1t.jpg(This is not my build)

Get BitFenix ones, or make your own. Otherwise they can get really expensive. You'll need a 24-pin, 8-pin EPS, and I think you video card needs 2 6-pins, might be wrong. Can't see a pic of it.

I have some bitfenix cable extensions, and they are fantastic.

Do you mind giving me links of Black&Red 24-pin, 8-pin EPS and 2 6-pins? I don't wanna get the wrong stuff... and actually, anything that isn't visible doesn't have to be individually sleeved but anything visible (left side of the case) is a must

I would love to, however I'm at school and Newegg.ca is blocked here (Not .com for some reason) If someone doesn't by the time I get home I will though.

you'll be fine, just remember those are extenions so you plug the normal cable to the PSU and then the red/black ones and then the GPU/ motherboard

and that is a sweet price for that kit BTW

Can you explain me more in depth about that? I'm confused haha... Is it really an extension cable that i'm supposed to use or there's something else?

If not, what do you mean? I have to plug the default cables to the PSU then plug my extensions into the default THEN plug the extensions into the components? Sorry if i'm stupid, lol

yes, i couldn't have put it any better myself

that is how you use them, extensions are used much more than things that plug directly into the PSU because every psu is different, and extensions offer compatibility with nearly any psu
