is it any why to test my psu to see if deliver good power? and what should I look for.

we've had a lot of thunder storms here lately it runs but are not quite sure whether it is ok.

We could probably tell you. What PSU is it specifically?

I suppose you could use a multimeter, jumpstart the PSU outside of your case and measure everything, but what makes you think its not working properly in the first place?

No it was not we do not usually have thunder storms and I was not at home so I could not disconnect it

That's a very good quality PSU, unless there is damage from power surges it should have no problems most times if there is a bad power surge the PSU dies to save other components, you can try performing a load test and stressing the PSU and checking the voltages to see if they are within margin of error as nj4ck suggest but to test other things such as ripple will require more specialized equipment. Also it's not a bad idea ot pick one up a, $20 investment can possibly save your PSU or components that may be down the line.

I highly recommend this one very reliable and easy for plugging in all types of connections:
