NZXT hue RGB controller is your only option that I know of for changing colours.

Only good way to get purple in your case.

 

Not that I would put purple lights in my computer case...

If you don't mind cutting and soldering them to the lenght you want, Hitlights makes some pretty cheap lights. Just check out Hitlights.com I have some white strips that I cut to the right length in my case, and I love what I got for the price.

I was going to buy just Blue led strips and at last second i got the HUE..I am so happy i did cause when i really want to show off my rig i put on white..They are amazing.. :)

 

Also if you want only 1 color and need a certain length with a certain power connector look up www.icemodz.com Linus did a review on his strips and i got some braided cables and some strips from him 4 days ago and they are great..
