What do you think the maximum theoretical overclock on my CPU would be with these specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core processor

GPU: (Powercolor) AMD Radeon HD 6850

Motherboard: M5A97 LE R2.0

CPU Cooler: Akasa Venom

PSU: Corsair TX650W

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB

Memory: 4x 2GB 1600mhz G-Skill Ripjaws (8GB total)

After a little research i found that my motherboard has only got 4+2 power phasing which may limit how much i will be able to overclock.

What would probably be the limit? 4.5Ghz maybe or would that be pushing it?

Wouldn't go over 4 with that motherboard. It has no Vram cooling at all. Might overheat the MOSFETs and reduce lifespan with higher overclocks.

I have a way older mobo than what he has. I have no vrm heatsinks and i still managed to OC my fx6100 to 4.2ghz for 6months with no problems. Ive reverted to stock now due to school work ;(
