Swiftech H240-X

Go to solution Solved by EarthboundHero,

Yeah but I cant find the h220x either...

Only place to find it, H240X is out of stock here though http://www.swiftech.com/H220-X.aspx

Hello!

I have been working on my X99/Loop upgrade and noticed somehting. I would save a lot going with an expandable aio... I have seen the Glacier but I dont like it cause opening and cleaning the loop is sad. But I used the Swiftech (I installed it on my cousins comp) and loved it. However as of right now, I cant find the H-240X anyhwere?

Whats up with that?

I would go with the H220X instead. They have almost identical performance, and from the benchmarks I've seen the H220X is a few decibels quieter. Not sure why it's been out of stock for so long though.

Forgot to add, whats the difference between the h240x and the h220x?

The H240X has a 280MM radiator and the H220X has a 240MM radiator. Very marginal in terms of performance, but the pump on the H240X has to run at higher RPM's to push more water.

But if he expands it, that won't make much of a difference if the pump has to speed up for the extra bits in the loop.

Dont buy an exandable AiO.

They use the cheapest parts possible in order to make it affordable.

If you actually plan to expand it, build a proper custom look using a WC kit from EK or XSPC or alphacool or something that will last longer
