Does CSGO perform better in fullscreen than in fullscreen windowed? I noticed some lag with fullscreen windowed. Rig in Sig

That's weird... In Fullscreen Windowed with a 290X I get no lag at all, and I'm gaming at 4K

Turn off VSync(???)

I used to play it on windowed full screen before, but there was a memory leaking issue back then, from 60+ FPS it just goes to 30 something.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

Hows your 290X in other games btw?

My order next Friday then arrive in SLS

I can rape any game at 1080p EXCEPT for MLL and crysis 3 (mainly because my CPU sucks)

Amazing :D

Nice. But you sure your i5 is causing a bottleneck? You can check CPU usage in games using Afterburner OSD.

Not a bottleneck. But the i5 struggles with crysis 3. I've made a thread not too long ago because of that! I heard that hyperthreads are starting to help in games as well!

I sware when crysis 3 was released bench marks for my i5 2500k showed something like 130fps on max details (was cpu test so they had a crazy gpu setup)

I got about 70fps with my 770.

Hmmm but is a 2500k > 4440?

People dont realize that full screen window = automatic vsync on

but no matter what hardware you have 60hz monitors will always look laggy. 60fps gameplay will never look smooth. 60fps VIDEO looks smooth, gameplay? 60fps is choppy.

Hmmm but is a 2500k > 4440?

the 4440 is a better cpu, but not by much.

none of the i5s have changed that much from sandy bridge to haswell probably less than a 10% difference. even then the sandy bridge ones are renowned for being better overclockers
