Hey everyone just looking fo some input baout my first pc build.  i will be primaryy using it to game and i wanted to build it to be somewhat future proof.  off the bat i will be using only 1 1080p monitor so i do know this will be overkill but i would like to eventually have 3 montiors (mabey even 3 4k) and wanted to leave expansion room for that and as well as games are getting more and more demanding.  anyways onto the build

Case: cooler master Haf x full atx

Cpu: i7 4790k 4.0GHz

Motherboard: asus Maximus VII Hero

Memory: corsair vengence pro 16GB (2x8)

Gpu: gigabyte g1 gamming gtx970 (will be adding a second one when prices come down or find a good sale)

Storage: crucial mx100 256GB ssd, Seagate 3TB 6gb/s harddrive

Psu: corsair Hxi cp-9020072-Na 750w 80+ platinum

disk drive: Samsung dvd burner (only to read and instal disks)

Cooling: Corsiar H90 water cooler for the rear 140mm fan

is there anything i could change to maake this build better/ last longer? is there anything i should change out do to poor equipment? let me know what you all think

FYI you will never be running triple 4k on that GPU, even in 3-way SLI.  Other than that everything looks good.  Please use PCPP from now on tho...

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

Get an EVGA 220-G2-0750-XR psu. It is much better than the excellent HX-750i.

You do not need an optical drive to install Windows. It can be done with a memory stick.

What is the memory kit part number?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Yeah 4K surround is a little too much to hope with today's GPUs. I've seen it achieved with four Titan Blacks, but that was only in a racing game so I'm not about to start recommending that.

Two 970s will be decent for triple 1080p though.

i would say get a 4690k so you can get a 980 would be good.

... Why would he?With DX12 games will leverage more cores... The HT should be useful, if it's in any way similar to the way it works now with 2 Core CPU's with HT running more demanding games...

CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R is the memory i plan to use and out of curiosity what advantages does the Evga 220 have over the corsair (i am poorly informed) i thought corsair was the go to for most things... at least that what the internet tells me

The HX 750i is a good psu, built by CWT. The EVGA G2 is at least as good and less expensive, built by Superflower.
