Hello everyone,

i am searching for a new Case for a Gaming oriented Rig. I planned on using the Cooler Master Cosmos SE, but im not sure if this case really fits my needs. I want to use Watercooling, wich would fit in the case, but the front intake with two 120mm fans seems to be blocked by the Drive Cage and the front panel. Is there an other nice looking but mainly solid build and with fit for an ATX Board Case. If so, wich one?

The internal Hardware for my new Build:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k

Graphics: Asus R9 290

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA Z97X Gaming

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Kit

PSU: Corsair RM 650 Watt

Watercooler: Coolermaster Nepton 240M

Thanks for your answers.

Greetings

can I just say I love the name of your thread?

gaming oriented. it says that it's for gaming, but it's not just for gaming. I like it

also welcome to the forum. I'll look around

what's your ballpark budget for the case?

do you want a silence optimized or airflow optimized case?

Phantecs Entoo line is nice also corsair 750D,760t

the Define R4, nzxt h440

also Lian Li has some nice cases but they tend to be a bit pricey

also on that Cosmos you are able to take out the drive cages if you want to allow for a rad.

Hello everyone,

. . .

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790

if you're intending on overclocking, which you probably are if you are using an AIO water cooler, then you will need to get the unlocked model of that processor, the I7-4790k(the K at the end denotes unlocked for intel except in special cases)

First, thanks. Yes it is not for only Gaming, i use it for some other tasks such as small Video editing. And thanks for welcoming me. I just found out about Linus Tech Tips and love the channel as well as the forum. I want an airflow optimized Case, the soundlevel is not that important. My Budged is not gigantic, The Price for the Cooler Master Cosmos SE was kinda my personal max. i would be happy if it is a bit cheaper, but i shouldn't be way more expensive. Hope this helps

Thanks a lot, yes i meant the i7 4790k in first place, just forgot the k ath the end, fix it right in the first post

Where are you from?

What's your budget?

And where will you buy the components?

I am from germany

My Budget is about 130€, bit more is still okay

I will buy my Components from the cheapest Internetvendor i can find using geizhals.de (a german search for cheap prices). Normally i buy them on Mindfactory.de or hoh.de, but if some other vendors are way cheaper, i will switch my mind on that
