macbook under $50?

Ok so I need some help finding a decent condition, good working macbook for under $50. It can be as old as 2006 with minimum of 1gb ram and core 2 duo. Please help me find one and if you have one to sell let me know. Thanks in advanced.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

There's no possible way in the name of fuck will that ever happen. Macbooks, or Apple products in general, for that matter, have good resale values, so GL finding one for less than 50.

My sisters boyfriend managed to get a broken one for $100, not sure how old it was, but it wasn't horribly new, so I doubt you will find a working one under $50.

you wont find a macbook for less than $50. even if it is completely non-functional, covered in sharpie and released in 2002

Macbooks retain their value a lot better than that. Any google or ebay search could have told you that.

I've noticed that but i have also found some for cheaper on ebay but got out bid every time.

You may get a PowerBook G4 at that price... but not an Intel based MacBook that works to some degree.

Yes. You're completely wrong though. The dollar's value is not controlled by the government. It's controlled by the faith that people hold in its worth. 

 

Same with MacBooks. If people are willing to pay what they do then the value is anything but fictitious.

Seriously the only Apple laptop you'll find for $50 is an iBook G4, and even then you may as well not bother because it's so outdated and under specced

If people are willing to pay more for an object because of a notion that it is inherently valuable instead of it being worth money in some other fashion (such as scrapping, cost of production, etc), that is fiat value. It's only as valable because we say it is. Did you read anything I wrote?

I read the whole thing. Not that I needed to.

 

By that definition absolutely everything is purely fiat value.

No, it's because they aren't pieces of shit like most PC laptops are, minus the Blade, XPS 13, and X1 Carbon.
