Posted February 4, 2015 If you plan to SLI, make sure you look at your motherboard setup first. If you are to install 2 cards, will they be right next to each other with no space in the middle of them? If so, reference style cooler. If you have a gap in between the cards, get a non reference blower type cooler. If you plan to watercool them, then this will not matter I have a potato! Posted February 4, 2015 Get the cheapest 980's as I can vouch for them. I have the base EVGA 980 ACX 2.0 ($545.00); however for a few dollars more, you can easily get a SC version but you can overclock a base card to achieve a higher cards core clock.
