Whatsapp contact names don't show in notifications

Hi LTT forums!

I recently just switched over from an Android device to an iPhone 6 and there seems to be an issue where my Whatsapp contact names does not show in my notifications. Contact names appear just fine inside Whatsapp however.

For example if I get a message from my father whose contact name on my phone is "Dad", the notification will read "Matthew" which is his Whatsapp display name. I've tried reinstalling the app and it still suffers from this problem. Access to contacts are also enabled. Telegram does not suffer from this, it displays my contact names perfectly.

Any one has any idea what is going on? Help is really appreciated :)
