Alaska! One particular other SoCal boy seems to be enjoying it a lot. :D

How is the snow situation? people say it sucks to shovel your way out every morning,. that the salt on the road eats your car away. and that it's so freaking cold, people spend most of the time in the basements to be more confortable!

I was mostly joking, it does snow a lot, the salt does eat your car and it is freaking cold if I'm not completely mistaken. Why do you want to leave SoCal? It seems like one of the most amazing places on earth. Also what is your profession?

Edit: You can usually find IT jobs wherever you go. The most important thing is where do you want to go?

Anyone can be "accepted" Canada, as long as your application gets chosen

I'm not fond of So Cal. is too expesnsive and crowded. looking for a more affordable place where life doesn't go 1000 miles (or Km) per hour!!! I'm low 30's. I guess not desk IT prefered . working on the schooling I spent too much time working (14 years) and didn't set time aside to finish anything.

Well because I dont live in the us I dont really know which parts have forests. And internet is fast enough everywhere and fibre is spreading so I expect the whole country wired up in a few years. What about europe?
