Custom waterloop is imho useless if you aren't running sli/CF and a high overclocked cpu...

CPU only would be somewhat okay if you aren't spending over 100£ for a closed loop system (like Water 2.0 Extreme from ThermalTake, which is better than the h100i from Corsair).

Or a (what I call it) Semi-Closed loop system like the H220 from Swifttech and expand it with a GPU-block and a nice reservoir :-)

Proud to be from Belgium.

I honestly have no experience with watercooling so take the following with a grain of salt.

Considered doing a custom loop for myself and I ran around $300 and that didn't even include fans. Be ready to put down some serious money if you want a nice setup.

Desert Storm PC | Corsair 600T | ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ | AMD FX-8350 | MSI 7950 TFIII | 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 | Seasonic X650W I Samsung 840 series 500GB SSD

Mobile Devices I ASUS Zenbook UX31E I Nexus 7 (2013) I Nexus 5 32GB (red)

I spent $1k (AUD) on my loop and its nothing crazy :S

I think a Corsair H100 or Swiftech H220 is a good investment though as a good all in one cooler.

Well, the loop I have planned is going to be costing me ~ $2300...

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Money bags

xD I cant help but make it better, Fluffy. it's so hard to remove stuff from your cart instead of adding more stuff!

I never remove anything from my cart. If I didn't run out of money I still would have bought more. Buying the Caselabs SM8 really murdered me financially since I was planning on buying a Switch 810 but I just couldn't do it.

Good thing is, I think I'm finally done messing with the damn thing. I want to do acrylic tubing but I have to remind myself that I don't really need it and it doesn't really add any performance gains. However, that means very little in the end since I'll probably still end up doing it just because I feel like it. I really need a cheaper hobby

Watercooling is NOT a cheap hobby... At ALL!

Water cooling is not necessary but more like a hobby or project so you can be proud of your computer. I spent $700 and am very happy when I look at my rig. Plus my rig is MUCH quieter.
