Hey, I know this isn't the best forum to ask this but could anyone recommend me any good, cheap cars for a student? I am turning 18 in 4 months and I already need to look out for options :P

I live in Europe so consider that there are almost no American cars here.

My budget is 1k euros. I would prefer manual. VW Golf, BMW 300 series and Audi 80's are pretty generic here so I don't really want any of them although they seem like a great choice.

What I have found so far:

A nice Nissan Sunny. Seems to be taken care of.

White Honda Civic with a great interior.

Overall a nice Mazda 636

I would appreciate to keep this thread meme-less. Thank you.

As long as there isn't much rust the sunny is actually a car i'd recommend. Pretty reliable and cheap to repair if it does go wrong :)

Source - I've owned the sedan version

+ the ad says it's a 2l. The only 2l the N14 sunny came with is the SR20. That is a good engine :)

get the most common around. as a first car i for example got a golf 4. and man if you are a starter you will appreciate the low prices for parts. and also know that a 1000 euro car will need parts.

Golf 4 is a bit too expensive for me. I've updated the post with some other options, but if I really can't find anything great at this price, I guess I'll just go with Golf3.
