Hello guys,

I have a question.

I already have a xfx 6870 but i need somthing more powerfull.

I'm in doubt with a second xfx 6870 (crossfire), or is a asus Nvidia Geforce GTX660 ti more woth for gaming??

My system specs at the moment:

FX 4100 quadcore 3.6 G/hz (clocked to 4.6G/hz)

Gigabyte 970A-UD3              I need to buy a 990fx chip maybe a asrock extreme 4 990fx, for crossfire.

HyperX 1600 8gb blu

Huntkey HK700-52pp (700 w)

XfX 6870 dual fan

(samsung ssd 128 gb, HDD 500gb)

Already thx,  ;)

-David

660ti there's a lot of micro-stutter with crossfire

Or you can wait for 760ti

You must be well informed, first there isn't a lot of microstutter just in a few games and even then even fewer are noticeable, second there are currently no plans for nvidia to release a 760ti. OP is best off going with a 760 or a 7950 once the price cuts happen.

I would just get a 7950 like a MSI Twin Frozr 3 7950 or a HIS IceQ X2 7950 because these cards can be overclocked to outperform the 7970 reference card and with Nvidia drivers being buggy I would go with these cards.

Wow fast reaction O_O

Realy thx guys.

Somthing like this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745

Exactly like that, either that or a MSI twin frozr 7950. So far from benchmarks the 7950 is a faster card and it also comes with the never settle bundle which is abunch of good games. Also like mgsstar said nvidia is having really bad issues with their 700 series drivers.

Your choice  of motherboard looks good but it needs the FX8350 viscera if you can't afford that a good bulldozer series will do a good job , before on to the main topic, I would like to suggest seasoniac ss-660xp2 80 plus platinum modular Psu

Yea, I think the huntkey(which I have now) can achieve enough for the twinfrozer gtx 760.

But again thx guys for all your advice.

I will sell my xfx 6870 and buy a msi twinfrozer gtx 760 oc!  :D

Either the MSI or the EVGA acx cooler. Whichever is cheaper will be the better choice to go with.

If you could spend just a bit more I would highly recommend getting a 7970, for 310$ & a bit of overclocking you're going to get 650 dollars worth of GTX 780 performance.

7970 OCed to 1265/1735

deffo go for the 760 or 7870, the 6870 is kinda outdated a bit, its just under 3 years old now, and if you get a radeon card, make sure you download Radeon Pro which will help you have a stable FPS for crossfire or single card  :)

..... You let me doubt again. XD

7950 vs 760 oc

Go for the 7950, once overclocked it beats the 760
