Motherboard Onboard Audio Volume

sgloux3470

Motherboard is an ASUS 990FX Sabertooth R 2.0

Ever since I got the motherboard I've had this issue.  I have to have windows set to like 10-20% volume or otherwise everything is way too loud.  (100% turns my headphones into  2.1 speakers.)  This isn't a huge deal, I'm just wondering if this is common for people to have to do.  Seems like some sort of miscommunication between the audio driver and windows to me.

If your headphones are super sensitive and your motherboard has a relatively strong amp, then I'm not too surprised. Either way, it should be fine. Don't worry about it.

You need to look at your software for the on-board audio. I'm not sure what it would be called, but it may be under an Asus related folder in the start menu.
