I'm trying to record videos for my Youtube channel. I sustain 120 FPS while recording. I've set DxTory to save my videos in 60FPS. But it fluctuates a lot and usually saves in about 25-45 FPS. Sometimes if I leave the recording going for about a minute it will start saving in 60. But this is doesn't work all the time.

Specs:

Processor - AMD FX 8320
Graphics Card - AMD Radeon R9 270X
Ram - 8GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P
Hardrive - 2 TB HDD, 7200 rpm
Operating System - Windows 8.1

Try OBS for recording?

That works well but i really would prefer to use DxTory due to the audio quality. I will have to keep changing the bit rate. For some reason profiles don't work on OBS for me :/ But if nothing else works that will be a great solution. Thanks.

Does your frame rate drop when the recording does?

Nope. Just saves in low frames. Every once in a while, while still getting 60FPS my screen will stutter. It will look like 50 FPS instead of 60 but that happens every 3 minutes. While always getting a constant 60

Might be your cpu at those points not being able to record at 60 fps.

I guess so. I'm not really the best with building PCs and all the stuff to do with them, I can do most things within windows. Just can't work with the parts very well. Is the AMD FX 8320 good enough do you think? 8 cores 3.5ghz

It's a bit gimped at this point, it's not very powerful.
