I have a Reference Zotac GTX 760. Should I upgrade to GTX 960?

I'm still saving my money for GTX 970......

You won't notice the difference bet 760 and 960. Save up for a better gpu.

Nvidia has lied twice , once for the 970 and twice for the drivers.

I would say they arent the must trustworthy company ATM.

Just my two cents.

Yes you will?! The 960 is around 20% faster in most games.

I'd recommend the 280x. (will still be bottleneck by your FX-6300)

The 970 will be bottle necked by your FX-6300.

i completely agree, i could probably forget this whole thing happened if i had full speed 4GB of VRAM non of that kneecapped BS

I have a fx 6300 and my 280x is not bottlenecked.

I have 99-100% gpu usage when I need/want it.

My CPU usage it around 46%-60% with my GTX 760 while playing AC:Unity.

Just by around 10%. Not worth the upgrade really.

AC unity is very badly optimized so that's normal with or without a bottleneck.

The 970 will be bottle necked by the FX-6300 but that's not to say it's not worth buying.

The best bet for OP would be a 290 but since NVIDIA is more trustworthy we cant have that.

Because its a 760 lol.

 

As soon as you throw in a high end card there its gonna be bottleneck city .

So should I upgrade to AMD FX-8350?

Do not forget the hole mess on the laptops using G-sync without G sync module! Which is very amusing as well
