Recently when I restart my computer my keyboard and mouse do not power on until I am fully logged in to windows keeping me from accessing the BIOS menu during boot up by smashing the delete key. I have tried other keyboards and even switched out the USB input and nothing works. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue so I can access my BIOS menu? I am looking to overclock my CPU that is why I ask.

Does your motherboard have "Fast boot"?

With MSI's fast boot you can reboot straight into the bios off the desktop. (and then once youre in the bios your mouse/kb might work?)

What USB ports are you using?

Both USB 2.0 and 3.0 on attached to the MOBO. There was never an issue before it just started happening.

Try removing the CMOS battery for a few seconds with power removed.

i have the same problem..keyboard is unusable so can't access the bios..

i used gigabyte app center to reboot straight into the bios off the desktop..I remember tinkering the usb usability (?) there, and I made sure it was on FULL use (something like that)..

still no use though..

i have tried reseating the keyboard usb, still nothing..i will try what you guys have suggested and will reset the CMOS..thanks
