Hi there I'm trying to build a pc out of an nes case. Ment just for retro gaming and I was wondering how powerful intergrated intel hd graphics are?

Integrated chips(intel) are more than enough if you do office and some flash/browser games.

AMD APUs are even enough for 1080p gaming on lowest settings and good for 720p gaming.

EDIT:

I sadly have no clue what you can fit in a NES case, but I would go with an APU from AMD.

Mini ITX mobo and AMD APU is clearly the way to go for an emulator. You might not be able to fit a psu in there tho (try SFF PSU from silversone)

But if he gets an APU he can actually play more modern games aswell and not just run a bunch of old emulated games.
