Overclocking my old cpu

Hey guys!

Since I don't have too much money to upgrade my PC all the time, I'm thinking of overclocking my CPU for quite a while now. But my question is: Can I even overclock my system to an amout that makes it actually worth it?

My specs are:

 

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3.00 GHz

Cooler: Zalman CNPS 9700 Nvidia Edition

M/B: Asus p5n-d

Getting more performance for free?  Do it.  All these people did.

Of course overclock it, just don't let your temps get too high and watch your voltage (I learned that the hard way)

Does your Mobo support an overclock?
