Any changes or Comments? Any way to make it cheaper? I also know about the 970 issues and im ok with it.

Looks good. There are a few minor changes you could make to save some money, but other than that...it's great.

I would also consider going with a 4790k + cheaper cooler, but right now a 4690k is just as good in gaming as a 4790k (in some ways better since it can be clocked higher) -- but a 4790k starts out at 4ghz with turbo to 4.4ghz and costs $330~ while a 4690k + high end air/AIO will be around $330~ and yield something between 4.2-4.6ghz once overclocked. Just my two cents, take it as you will.

I think you might have an issue with spacing with your video card in your mid tower. My buddy bought parts, and then bought his video card and in his mid tower with a card that is most likely slightly smaller that than had some issues with spacing in a different case, even though it is a different case, there might still be issues, especially if you are going to have a watercooler in there.

Also if you're going for a cable-managed system mid towers aren't  the best because they don't offer the best of space. But since you have a fully modular PSU you might be fine in that department.

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

The Define R5 has several areas to mount it and its just 5 bucks more then the H80i. I'll loot at the x41.

The mounting issue is with the motherboard, not the case.

A gigabyte 970 will fit fine in an R5. The R5 also has LOADS of space behind the motherboard tray to manage cables.

Maybe you could go for whichever AMD R9 200 series GPU is equivalent to the GTX 970 to avoid any vRAM issues.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

H100i

Don't get an H100i, avoid the potential mounting problems. I would get something like an X41 instead.

I 2nd not getting an H100i, the cpu mounting has issues and the fans are really loud (i have has 4 sets and they all rattle, not vibrate).

There aren't even any VRAM issues. At sub-4k resolutions it's not an issue, and at 4k...well, you shouldn't be getting 970s.

Plus, hopefully, with any luck, Nvidia will push out drivers that allow the desktop/everything else to render on the slower segment of VRAM and leave the faster VRAM for gaming/applications that need it.

The R5 is fine for the card I will just pull a few drive bays out. Also all the reviews show its amazing for Cable management.

I am firmly Team Green at the moment even with the vram issue. Also im just going 1080p gaming for a bit.

Yeah, I just went back at the review linus did and saw how much space he has in it when you can take out the extra drive bays above the main ones at the bottom, so there is definitely enough space if the extra bays are taken out.

Yep, I went and looked back at the video.

Great choice now that I looked back at the review, duh. :P

This is true, good point. :)

One can only hope. :)
