Brand new GTX960, or used GTX780?

Klefth

Sooo yeah, just like the title says, I'm a little torn here. Should I go for a brand new 960, or get a rather cheap used 780 (250-ish bucks)? And before someone suggests to just go for a 970 or something like most people do, I'm on a limited budget here, hence those options. :x

780 for sure. basically 512MB of Ram less than a 970, otherwise the same or better in some cases.

Oh yeah, I definitely know that. It's just the used part that I was torn with, since I don't usually buy used parts and don't really know what to expect.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys. I think I'll go for that 780 then. :)

I'd expect to be really happy with your GPU's performance.

I don't agree with nvidia. That said they did make some great cards but I wont buy them anymore. Don't ask why.

Cheaper than 250? Where? o_o That's as low as I've found, at least on Ebay.

I was just saying. If someone is willing to sell a used 780 for 250, there might be someone who would be willing to sell it a bit cheaper.

Welp, I ended up finding a 970 for 300, went for it, and holy shit am I excited to get that thing. I don't really care much about  the recent controversy about the 3.5GB VRAM (in fact I'm kinda glad since that just helped me get one for a bit less), that thing is going to be an enormous improvement over my good old GTX 560. *-*
