will it hurt the gpu if I overclock it that far without over volting?

No. If the GPU isn't receiving enough power, the game, application, or driver will crash.

Yup, opposite of what you think. Too much voltage is likely to shorten the life of the card, not giving enough will only cause crashing or artifacting. If your running stable at that with no crashes and no extra voltage, all is well.

+150 for me is only like a boost clock of 1400Mhz according to the afterburner scale...and I have a core voltage of +87 and power limit of 110%...

Hmm, wierd. After playing a game, I check MSI Afterburner and is reads 1554 MHz Max core clock. I have the G1 Variant.

Well Gigabyte DOES bin leakier chips for better overclocking for their G1 series cards. Still kinda disappointed that I can't get higher than like 1410MHz.
