Hi everyone, I am new in this own-built pc world so I was wondering if I could get your help!

My computer has approximately 11 years and I don't even know how it can still survive. So it's high time for getting a new one.

I will connect it to my TV (samsung UE40" model: H6400).

Basically my questions are:

  • Can I build a pc with ~1100$ based on x99 chipset?
  • Is it worth it for games like World of Warcraft (MAX SETTINGS), Batman: the dark knight (when released), but also for programmes like MATLAB and SOLID EDGE???

If it is IMpossible to be done, what should I get to achieve the most similar rig to the x99 with 1100$ for those purposes?

THANKS TO EVERYONE.

  • Can I build a pc with ~1100$ based on x99 chipset? Yes but it'd be really...dumb... to be blunt
  • Is it worth it for games like World of Warcraft (MAX SETTINGS), Batman: the dark knight (when released), but also for programmes like MATLAB and SOLID EDGE??? Not entirely, no.

If it is IMpossible to be done, what should I get with 1100$ for those purposes?

Kingston has fixed the issues that plagued the 120 GB version that I don't think effected the 240GB one. It's solid and cheap.
