High Lift Off Problem

Go to solution Solved by Shaqo_Wyn,

hey guys so basicly i got a optical mouse that has a high lift off im used to a low lift off sensor (Lenovo Mouse Laser)

How can i fix it its a non branded mouse i got for cheap to avoid mouse acceleration

You can try the tape trick. You cover the bottom half of the sensor with a piece of transparent tape. This filters the sensor light, lessening the intensity of the light which in turn should reduce the lift of distance.

P.S: getting a cheap optical mouse is usually the wrong answer. Because cheap usually means crappy sensor, not all optical sensors are of good quality (no acceleration, prediction etc.). There are some pretty reasonably priced mice that use one of the best optical sensors (Avago ADNS-3310) out there. Corsair M45, Steelseries Rival, Zowie FK1.

You probably cant change it, a lot of cheap mice do not have any way of changing their properties
