IE 11, cannot paste or quote

Go to solution Solved by WolfDeville,

I use the site in compatibility mode and it works perfect. Give it a shot.

  1. Close anyInternet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.

  2. Open Internet Explorer.

  3. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

  4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

  5. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.

  6. When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, click Close, click OK, and then click OK again.

  7. Close Internet Explorer.

  8. Test if it works now.

If it still doesn't work, you may want to check for any plugins or add ons that may be installed in IE.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

Try to disable and re-enable IE in Windowsfeatures and Extras. You should find this under installed programms and features.

"Turn Windows features on or off" Then uncheck IE, restart and enable IE again.

Still I have no idea why would you use this rubbish. Sorry for my rudeness but IE isn't a proper browser.

That is an extreme option that I am loathe to take.

it's ok, he's safe. he only browses the web from the library, using tor, wearing a hazmat suit.

the government is after him; he knows google is a monopoly and that the NSA is spying on him -- the government can't just let him run around with that type of sensitive information.

I am not kidding you I know a kid who browses in the libary using tor.

i think you should change "used" with "installed", since windows comes INSTALLED with IE.

If a program accesses the internet, it uses IE's framework.

The only reason it has such a high "usage %" is because it's forced on you, and tech noobs don't know/care about other browsers.

If you where to use real numbers, not just people of opening IE to download chrome; the numbers would be significantly different.

This is a valid point, but it looks like no-one can answer OPs question satisfactorily.

I found this to happen with me as well.

Try resetting IE 11 and fiddle with compatibility.

No idea why people think IE is still slow...

I thought I was running in compatibility mode. Turns out it had been reset. Thanks, this appears to correct the problem.
