So, this isn't going to be built at all, but I thought it'd be cool to see who could make the most powerful $300 PC.

Anyways, is doesn't have to include a monitor or peripherals.

Use as many coupon codes as you can!

You could also go with a cheaper/smaller HDD and/or use a flash drive instead and upgrade to an R9 270. Or drop the HDD altogether and get an SSD.

It'll be better in games that don't need more than a core.

Which is a few games at the moment.

I'll supply the $3 that's well worth it.

Been doing this for a while.

I don't disagree that spending the extra money is worthwhile, but in all fairness you have to stay under $300.

It'll be better in games that don't need more than a core.

Which is a few games at the moment.

Or if you want to multi task at all. Some newer games won't even launch by default on a dual core cpu. Plus dual core cpus cause more frequent and lower minimums.

A $300 PC is "around" $300. Still starts with "three hundred." :D

I still disagree, but since it's apparently okay: ($1.37 less and arguably equivalent depending on the game/s).

Plus I also have twice as much storage :P
