Hey, so I'm building a new pc and im going all out on this one, but I need a bit of help on the water cooling I'm a noob with that so I need recommendation on the parts please and the lay out, ive watched a few videos on it so i get the general idea, but help is needed. Also a picture with a detailed water cooling loop layout would be awesome.

Heres specs;

Desk: Red harbinger cross desk
Cpu: Intel core i7 5930K
GPU: 4GB EVGA GTX 980 (Will buy 2 more later on)
Motherboard: Asus RAMPAGE V EXTREME
Power Supply: 1200W EVGA SuperNOVA 80PLUS Platinum
RAM: Corsair DDR4 Dominator 16GB (4GBx4)
Monitor: Asus PG278Q ROG Swift 27" G-SYNC (Soon to be 3)

Any changes to specs only using it for gaming maybe video editing

... Yeahno. You don't need any of that crap for gaming. Let alone 'some video editing'.

An i7 4970k will do you just nicely with ONE GTX 970.

He's got a watercooling desk. He doesn't have tome for peasant hardware as far as these desks go.

He doesn't NEED any of it. It's an absurdly overdone system that's going to draw more power than my stove.

He wants to go all out, lol. Let him do what he wants.

Also: that's one HELL of a setup, googled that desk, and that is not something you'd probably want to get into if you're an amateur at liquid/watercooling. That desk requires some serious setup. I'm sure if you bought it, that it would come with all the needed instructions...

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

Honestly, why does it matter to you? People can spend their money any way they want, shitting on him for it is absolutely ridiculous, you don't NEED to complain. It may be overdone, but it will be able to run almost all games at max settings, so, why care so much?

The desk costs 2k alone. So what is your point? Buy a 2k desk and put in a 1200$ rig?
