I'm not sure if Microsoft unveiled this yesterday along with the Windows 10 anouncements, or if it was just debuted as a YouTube ad.  Microsoft has developed a wearable transparant screen that they can use to display holographic images while using communications applications, ala Skype.  I'm sure a lot of what you see in the videos is simulated as I'm not sure how they could have 3D modeling software compatible with this already.  But I can see that I"m really bad at explaining it, so I'll just put the videos.

If this is as good as Microsoft claims, all I can say is, checkmate Oculus.
