kinda lop side on the GPU part

 

drop it to the R9 285 GPU and you can go for the i5 4460 or 4690K since you got a Z97 board

 

add 4GB to make the total RAM 8GB

 

add a SSD to the build to make OS and Games load faster

You can save a few by dropping the H212 evo because you won't be ocing that 4460

that 3258 is not ideal for this budget it's too low end

 

At least he can enjoy the OC abilities of the Z97 motherboard. And, even though it is low end, it's pretty baller.
