On my previous build (Link: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/yKxYcf ), I was using a Pentium G2030 and a Gigabyte B75M-HD3 mATX board. The pictures from then also showed an old Cooler Master case, and some pretty gross cable management. This build is a result of fixes to that build I was wanting to do!

The 6 cores of the FX-6300 are wonderful for video editing and 3ds Max, and my games are really loving the extra clock speed compared to before as well.

The MSI 970 Gaming board is SEXY! Haven't had any crazy issues with it, just wish certain ports were in different spots, and that I could position my GTX 760 to not block the sweet badge on the front.

The 200R has awesome cable management options, and this looks so much cleaner than the old build. I do wish, however, that the exposed cables on the 850 B2 were black instead of multicolored and the yellowish, greenish colors. They don't look bad though, and I could cover those up.

Hyper 212 Plus was a must because the AMD stock cooler was not much less than

Everything else is the same. I feel that this is more balanced, pairing the GTX 760 with the FX-6300, and giving both of them some breathing room in a larger case.

Upgrades in the future will probably be more related to cooling and noise, aside from changes to peripherals.

I would have suggested getting a more powerful i5 (any of the 3xxx models) to put on that B75 board. You bought into a dead platform anyways.

Otherwise, not so bad.

Yeah, I know haha... I guess I was just thinking of having upgradability (and the fact that it didn't make a racket and was semi-modular) in mind. It's hard to really pick out parts until I actually see it in front of me. If I could go back, I'd probably get like a 650W Corsair, for some continuity, efficiency, plus they tend to use some nicer looking cables.

I've heard similar things from multiple sources, and I agree somewhat. Personally, I just wanted to move away from that board because of some limitations it had. If I had about double the money, I probably would have went with a new board and CPU on the 1150 socket. Being on a budget, I wanted to try out AMD's side of things, plus this motherboard looked great and had a lot of features I was looking for. In the future though, I probably will move back to Intel's processors.
