980 Classified / hall of fame / matrix / kingpin

If you're buying it to watercool yes, if not just get something cheaper, they'll all OC fairly the same on air.  Cards like this really start to shine above 1.3v with a custom loop.

The one that is actually two 970s. Seriously, it makes NO SENSE to buy a more expensive 980 with the promise of 20% more performance through oc when for the same price you could get 2 970s and 80% more performance out of the box.

The G1 is locked down to hell, even after modding the BIOS, it still has a 1.312v limit on it.

The kingpin/HOF/classified/matrix don't have that limitation, and they have much better power delivery.

better cooling capacity, you'll hit a temp wall before you hit the voltage wall on the classified, the ACX cooler is trash.

He said best OC capabilities, never mentioned anything about using the stock cooler.

Anyone buying a classified card, or a card of that tier really shouldn't be using anything other than exotic cooling methods IMO.
