Is that on like, load or idle?

If it's on load that's pretty good, if it's on idle... yeah you're pushing it

Terve!
I've just discovered a topic here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1962032/tmpin2-128degrees.html

If this info is correct, you should not worry too much about it.

I also just tested my 2600k mb, wich had about 60°C at that in idle and about 24°C under load.

It's no secret that there are many programs struggling with thermal readings of AMD stuff.

I normally ground myself and touch the mb to find out, if there is really a hot point. If nothing is glowing, I forget about it.

Not the most professional way and dangerous too. But at least it gives you real temps...

So it is a bug or something?

I cannot answer that question.

I know that the sensors of the chips themseves are weird, but I do not know if that applies to that thing as well.

I'll run a bit of Intel burn test with low airflow in my PC to see the temps.

I don't think you should worry too much about this reading though.

What mainboard are you using and what are the temps like, if you have not overclocked it?

I'm afraid that I cannot overclock my system to have as much stress as your mainboard.

Edit: I made it up to about 52°C, so definitely under your level.

tmpin2 is not a live sensor  so you can ignore the false temps from that, However the 70c on your cpu is more concerning.   A seidon 120v doesn't seem adequate enough for 4.5+ you might have to settle for a slightly lower OC.  I'd personally try to keep temps under at least 55

I don't know how the temps of his CPU look in a real world scenario.

I do not think that they will be anywhere close to what he has under the worst case scenario.

With that said I recommend using the temps of a real world application (if you are shure you will watch the temps whenever you do something) and give some reserves to that.

That is only my method however, you can use eighter way.

I have overclocked my fx6300 to 4.9 ghz max. Temp 70 degrees celcius, my mobo(ga-970a-ud3) however has hit 85 max on tmpin2. M

wayyy too hot...get a much better cooling solution for your CPU if you plan to run it at such high voltages and clocks mate...you'll fry the thing.
