HTC One no longer charging over USB.

Go to solution Solved by EmeraldKiwi,

A few of my friends have had this problem with other phones. The solution is usually to just take some compressed air and jet out the port on your phone. Dust buildup can make it hard for the USB cable to make contact with the actual pins, so getting rid of the dust is the solution most likely. If that doesn't work, try a different cable, or try the cable with a different device. This will help you rule out if the cable is faulty, or the device.

Has anyone else had this issue? It still charges when plugged into the mains but using a USB only cable (into a PC for example) no longer charges the battery, I've had mine for just over a year now. I've tried using different cables too.

Are you plugging it directly into the the MB or the case? Some USB ports are not powered.

@EmeraldKiwi - I tried that out and it worked :D Can't believe it was that simple, I was considering all sorts of madness. Thanks very much.
